Newell Street - Home Renovation
THE CHALLENGE
PROJECT DETAILS
The existing house was lifted up and back 3m from its original location to allow for a basement excavation with new foundations and block retaining walls. A new second floor extension was added along with first floor extensions to the rear and side of the existing house. All this while maintaining the existing timber floors and character features of the home. The highlight was constructing a wine cellar accessed by a trapdoor in the kitchen floor.
